Expanded Polystyrene (EPS), is a closed-cell foam thermoplastic obtained from the polymerization of styrene monomer derived from petroleum. It is produced in grey shades by adding flame retardant additives and graphite. Pentane gas is used as the blowing agent. Pentane, an organic component, creates numerous small pores within the particles, which are then quickly replaced by air during and immediately after production. The material is composed of 98% stagnant air and 2% polystyrene. EPS is one of the few materials in the world that provides the best thermal insulation, and it does so more economically than other insulation materials used in our country.

High Impact Polystyrene (HIPS) sheets find a wide range of applications from covering bathroom cabinet doors to bathtub front panels, from sales stands to car roof racks, and furniture parts. The absence of crystallization energy allows for rapid heating and cooling, thus providing the advantage of quick molding. It can be easily molded without degradation using low energy through extrusion and injection molding methods.
